Program Abstract

Application of the scientific method’s hypothesis development and testing process runs on information and data. Determining what information is needed to form or test a hypothesis and where to obtain that information is a critical investigative skill. This module goes inside the investigative thinking process during the post-scene follow-up investigation to show how the need for information develops organically and how an investigator determines where they may be able to obtain the missing information.

This module is one of two CFITrainer.Net modules on sources of information in a fire investigation. The other module is “Sources of Information: Origin & Cause.”
