CFITrainer.net Surpasses 9,000 Users From More Than 80 Countries


CFITrainer.net is continuing to deliver high quality programs to fire investigators around the world, with new programs being developed regularly. The program has more than 9,001 registered users and has issued more than 6,160 certificates amounting to nearly 20,000 contact hours of documented training. CFITrainer.net is a convenient and time efficient program because it lets fire investigators take advantage of the Internet and participate in online training programs and live presentations from their office or home computers. Users can get custom, printable certificates and manage their profiles online while administrators can track progress, customize testing, and get other important reports from a management perspective.

There are currently nine programs available on CFITrainer.net including: Insurance and the Fire Investigation, Investigating Motor Vehicle Fires, Fire Investigator Scene Safety, An Analysis of the Station Nightclub Fire, The Scientific Method for Fire and Explosion Investigation, Digital Photography and the Fire Investigator, Ethics and the Fire Investigator, MagneTek: A Case Study In The Daubert Challenge and Introduction to Fire Dynamics and Modeling. In additon, a live-streaming Webinar is planned in early December to launch the debut of the CFI Calculator. The CFI Calculator is a tool for fire investigators to use in the field and is able to be downloaded to Desktop computers, Pocket PCs and Palms.
