CFITrainer.Net Releases Resource Relating Modules to NFPA Standards JPRs

CFITrainer.Net has released a new resource for professionals who take CFITrainer.net self-paced programs (modules). This resource correlates CFITrainer.Net modules to Job Performance Requirements (JPRs) in key NFPA professional qualifications standards: NFPA 1001: Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, NFPA 1021: Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications, NFPA 1033: Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Investigator, and NFPA 1037: Standard on Fire Marshal Professional Qualifications. Using these correlations will help fire service members and fire investigators plan and execute their professional development using CFITrainer.Net modules to address specific requirements for their job.

For example, JPR 4.4.2 in NFPA 1033 requires fire investigators to be able to locate, document, collect, label, package, and store evidence. CFITrainer.Net offers twelve modules relevant to that skill, including Digital Photography for the Fire Investigator, Documenting the Event, Introduction to Evidence, Physical Evidence at the Fire Scene, Search and Seizure, DNA, Evidence Examination: What Happens at the Lab?, and Discovery in Civil Cases and Discovery in Criminal Cases. The correlation provides a road map for which CFITrainer.Net modules should be part of your professional development plan to fulfill each particular JPR.

"These resources are an update and expansion of the original table that showed which CFITrainer.Net modules were relevant to NFPA 1033 sections," said R. Kirk Hankins, Chair of the CFITrainer.Net Steering Committee. "We have a new user-friendly format, we've updated the 1033 information, and we have added correlations for three additional standards that include JPRs related to fire investigation. We're pleased to share this with our community of professionals who work fire cases because we think it will help identify what CFITrainer.Net modules are relevant to the individual professional's training needs under the relevant NFPA standard."

The correlations are available free on the CFITrainer.Net Resources page.
