This module covers NFPA 1033’s importance, its requirements, and how those requirements impact a fire investigator’s professional development. The viewer will also learn how NFPA 1033’s Job Performance Requirements (JPRs) are used in a variety of contexts, including training programs, qualifying experts to testify in court, and vetting experts. The module also explains how to write a fire investigator’s curriculum vitae (CV), ensure that NFPA 1033’s requirements are reflected in that CV, map the investigator’s ongoing professional development to NFPA 1033’s requirements, and present the CV to employers and to the court.
